•Habilis, meaning handy in Latin. Homo-habilis was a species of hominid dating back some 2 million years. Dubbed handyman , known for its ability to fashion then useful tools and its ability to adapt, find new food sources (by means of tools) and excel among its hominid contemporaries in efficiency and creativity. •Its in this vein that habilis gear finds its view. Our goal is to create, recognize and understand when it comes to our outdoor, travel and daily needs. Lightweight, durable and efficient are the three elements we find to sum up the term “handy”. With handy in mind, we select from only the best materials in the manufacturing of our products, using only quality craftsmanship and extensive field testing. We also expect the same level of craftsmanship from those brands we carry or indorse. •In short, mobility is not freedom unless we can survive the stops along the way. We have long since lost the ability & environment to survive without tools, let alone do it in comfort and efficiency. So we carry on our backs the burden of our comfort.
